Career at the Gassner establishments

Your future is important to us! We want to promote your development and your potential!
Showcase your skills and we’ll offer you fantastic career opportunities!
Great examples of this are Michael Olah, our Operations Manager at WIFF, Markus Derkits, our Operations & Catering Manager at the Gasthaus zu Schloss Hellbrunn, and Stefan Kleinberger, our Head Chef at the Gasthaus zu Schloss Hellbrunn.

FROM BARTENDER TO OPERATIONS MANAGER

Michael completed his apprenticeship as a stonemason in 2010 and started working as a bartender at "Stiegl-Keller" in 2012 - at that time as a temporary job. He quickly took a liking to the catering industry and after only a few months switched from bar to service. After 4 years, he took the opportunity to complete an exceptional apprenticeship certificate as a restaurant specialist and immediately took over the position of Deputy Restaurant Manager. His enthusiasm and keen curiosity for culinary knowledge was also reflected in his training as a beer sommelier and apprentice trainer. From 2016 to 2018, Michael led the service team at Stiegl-Keller and was responsible for all processes in the restaurant area. In 2019, the move to Hellbrunn followed and Michael took over the management of the "Gasthaus zu Schloss Hellbrunn". Michael has been heading the WIFF restaurant since 2025.

FROM APPRENTICE TO CATERING MANAGER

In 2013, Markus completed his compulsory apprenticeship with us at the Schlosswirt in Anif as part of his training at the Bad Gleichenberg Tourism School. After finishing school, Markus returned to Anif as Chef de Rang and gained experience in upscale gastronomy and in the event sector.
In 2020, we were able to recruit Markus as Deputy Operations Manager at Stiegl-Klosterhof. From the opening onwards, he was an extremely important pillar for the success of the Klosterhof, both professionally and personally. In 2023 Markus returned to Salzburg and has headed up our catering sector and since 2025 is also Operations Manager of the Gasthaus zu Schloss Hellbrunn.
