Traditional craftsmanship in a unique ambience

The Bauernadvent Glanegg has been taking place for more than 25 years in the historic farmstead of the Mayr-Melnhof Castle Glanegg, but it is still a hidden gem among Salzburg's Christmas markets. At the foot of the legendary Untersberg, everything here revolves around game, farm delicacies, traditional handicrafts, and an all-encompassing Christmas spirit.

The focus of the market is on farm products and delicacies from the Mayr-Melnhof family’s hunt. Fresh game, venison ham, game sausages and traditional Schmalz are complemented by jams, cheese, schnapps, bread, fresh farmhouse doughnuts, and Christmas baked goods from local farms. Handcrafted items made from wood, ceramics, and textiles, along with a selection of unique jewellery are also offered. The market is accompanied musically by brass bands and traditional folk music.
